Top Ten Currently Pending Request on Netgalley

This is my first Top Ten Tuesday feature. I am excited to do this blog post since then but I did not know what ten things to feature.

Today, it is my first time too to request on Netgalley. I got doubts few weeks ago if I will sign up to the said site or not. But now, I got the guts! And just for an hour or so of waiting, four publishers have already approved my requests. I am about to read one tonight tho because I lost my memory card which includes my epub files, so I cannot continue reading Fifty Shades of Gray.

These are the top ten pending titles on my Netgalley shelf. They will be also included on my TBR shelf on Goodreads. Check out these books, authors and publishers. Read on and if it interests you, add them on your shelves, too!

Title: Apple and Rain
Author: Sarah Crossan
Publisher: Bloomsbury Publishing Plc (UK & ANZ)
Publication Date: Aug 14 2014

A stunning new novel from Carnegie-shortlisted author Sarah Crossan; moving and beautifully crafted, it explores the bond between daughters and mothers, forgiveness and the healing power of words.

When Apple’s mother returns after eleven years of absence, Apple feels whole again. She will have an answer to her burning question – why did you go? And she will have someone who understands what it means to be a teenager – unlike Nana. But just like the stormy Christmas Eve when she left, her mother’s homecoming is bitter sweet, and Apple wonders who is really looking after whom. It’s only when Apple meets someone more lost than she is, that she begins to see things as they really are.

Like a brilliant hybrid of Cathy Cassidy and Jacqueline Wilson, Sarah Crossan entices you into her world, then tells a moving, perceptive and beautifully crafted story which has the power to make you laugh and cry.
