Cover Savoury #2: The Vampire Academy Series

Cover Savoury is a feature here in Paper Boulevard where covers are much appreciated and given so much pleasure. (I am sorry for this statement. lol)

Vampire Academy Series
Two races of vampires walk our world. One, the Moroi, are alive and wield elemental magical. The other, the Strigoi, are undead and evil--feeding on the innocent to survive. Rose Hathaway--a half-vampire with poor impulse control--is training to be a bodyguard for a Moroi princess. Learning to decapitate and stake is hard enough, but Rose's real danger may lie in an illicit romance with one of her instructors...
No one introduced me to Richelle Mead's books. My first book of this series was the book three Shadow Kiss. I was lost at Mall of Asia way back 2010. I did not dare to cry so I drag myself in search for a bookstore. Then, I saw Mead's book and fascinated with its cover... The model was stunning and I bought it immediately. It was love at first site. Phew.

The Vampire Academy series has six books and with all adorable hues and arresting models on its covers. The series rounds the characters with different races of vampires: Morois- Vasilisa 'Lissa' Sabina Rhea Dragomir, Christian Ozera, Adrian Ivashkov and more; Strigois- Mason Ashford, Isaiah, Elena, Nathan and more; and, Dhampirs- Rosemarie "Rose" Hathaway, Mason Ashford, and more!

About the Author

Scorpio Richelle Mead is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of urban fantasy books for both adults and teens.  Originally from Michigan, Richelle now lives in Seattle, Washington where she works on her three series full-time.

A life-long reader, Richelle has always had a particular fascination with mythology and folklore. When not writing,, she enjoys bad reality TV, traveling, trying interesting cocktails, and shopping for dresses. Lots of dresses. She is a self-professed coffee addict, fights a constant (and losing) battle with procrastination, and has a passion for all things wacky and humorous.

Let's leave it up to this quote from Emily Brontë: "And from the midst of cheerless gloom I passed to bright unclouded day."

  1. You're the first person I've seen who liked these covers, haha! I personally LOVE the tiny gates on the bottom, as well as the title fonts. :D Not sure about the photos, though. The last one looks really photoshopped. :( But I love this series to bits! <3

    1. Thanks! I think so I am the only one who liked the covers. Hihi. The covers are accordant to the series. But anyway, you are right. I love the series, too! It's great. :)
