Kadence Mulligan’s star was rising. She and her best friend, Lauren DeSanto, watched their songs go viral on YouTube, then launched a solo career when a nasty throat infection paralyzed Lauren’s vocal chords. Everyone knows Lauren and Kadence had a major falling-out over Kady’s boyfriend. But Lauren knows how deceptive Kadence could be sometimes. And nobody believes Lauren when she claims she had nothing to do with the disappearance. Or the blood evidence . . .

As the town and local media condemns Lauren, she realizes the only way to clear her name is to discover the truth herself. Lauren slowly unravels the twisted life of Kadence Mulligan and finds there was more to her than she ever knew. But will she realize she’s unknowingly playing a part in an elaborate game to cover up a crime before it's too late?

Sometimes—no, always?—you think of yourself. Where, when, what, how and why are questioned whenever things get wrong or even on the felicitous times. You tend to love yourself so much that you would do everything just to fulfill your cherished desire, and that you do not care anymore who you break into pieces. Not even your best friend.

But have you really treated your best friend your best friend?

Heather and Anne thought us in this thought provoking book different aspects of friendship. First is the relationship of Jude and Lauren. They were best friends since kids but when Kadence came in to the scene, things were on the opposite. Kadence and Lauren were then instant BFFs. That left Jude alone... and thought of unkind objectives towards the newly friends. However, the two girls were inseparable. They made Youtube videos that went viral and lead them to being famous in town. Kadence then had a boyfriend, Mason, the cute and humble. Lauren felt fine with Mason though that lead her and Kadence not 24/7 with each other. One day, Lauren lost her pretty voice and stopped making videos with Kadence. Then… Kadence was gone missing.

Girl Last Seen is a page turner. You crave and crave and crave who was responsible for Kadence. It’s like Gone Girl but ‘everyone is a suspect’. It was 3/10 disappointing on guessing the accountable of Kadence. I have guessed that part but the rest was excruciatingly good to read. As I mentioned, friendship was the biggest part in this book. As much I want to tell you of the relationship of the four characters, it would just spoil you, which is a bad idea.

I urge everyone to put Girl Last Seen on your top TBR list—a read of unlike friendships strong enough to overwhelm.

Let's leave it up to this quote from Emily Brontë:
“And from the midst of cheerless gloom I passed to bright unclouded day.”

    1. I'm flattered by that. ;) Friendship is really good to read. You can relate like on everything and you can also see through what others may be as friends. I hope you'll add it on your TBR, Denise. :)
